Monday Once More

Ladies and Gentlemen,

3 words

The Hurt Locker

A freaking good movie, in my point of view of course. I don't know what some of you jokers like or hate but to me, it's an awesome movie heck even better than that certain disaster movie that spent like millions of dollars on special effect and in the end, a predictable story.

Here's a brief summary,

"Iraq. Forced to play a dangerous game of cat-and-mouse in the chaos of war, an elite Army bomb squad unit must come together in a city where everyone is a potential enemy and every object could be a deadly bomb."
credits IMDB

Mann, I was so glued to my seat, with my inner ear-bud ear piece(man that's a mouth full) all set in my ear, every time they were diffusing a bomb, my nerves just tensed up, it really puts you in the moment and of course it is very realistic.

For those who have not seen it, do check it out but if you are not into army stuffs and gore then well too baddddd. :p

__________

Got to class late today, Annie left me behind as she got to school early. So much for the 'Leave No Man Behind' creed.

Yes Annie, you left me to fend for myself against a pack of wolves!!

Haha, ok, I'm kidding Annie, you are still my number 1 back-up when I'm or rather when we are both late.

Fun fun

"Free"

Yup we did not pay a single cent for last night's dinner at the Asian Kitchen over at Ion.

Why you ask?

Ok here's what happened >

May May and i have dined at Asian Kitchen over at City link so many times that even the waiter there recolonizes us. So he urged us to sign up for the Asian Kitchen thingy membership.

Which allows 10% rebates which you can use the next time when you dine at any Asian Kitchen restaurant to minus off the total sum and 15% when you dine within 7 days.

Wow, they even gave us $28 dollars voucher which we used last night to minus off the total sum and the rebate points.

So we did not pay a single cent.

How much the membership cost?

Ans:$28 dollars

hm..well..ar..
so last night dinner wasn't free but 'free' after all.

Ow anyway the food there is great but pricey and the portion ain't that huge but it quality and not quantity that counts.

___________

Went to catch Funny People with May May today.

I love Sandlers' movies but this movie was eh ..forgettable i must say. The jokes were funny, don't get me wrong but the story is weak.
Had a lot of guest appearances like Andy Dick, Ray from everybody loves Raymond and even Enimen. Girls a couple of rows in front screamed when they saw him.

Man those stupid girls, watched too much Gossip Girls like drama and i guess they think they are American bimbos.

Haha

All in all the movie's funny but forgettable, kinda disappointing but hey it isn't Zohan.

_________

Cool.

UPdate

Fun

That's what i have been having over the past few days. Went to catch The Inglourious Basterds with May May yesterday.

A little long but i like the show. It's violent, no less from Quentin Tarantino style of directing and he somehow added humor in it too. Kinda like Pulp Fiction but in World War 2.

The character Brad Pitt plays. Endo, haha he's just 1 Vigilante Basterd. Well that's how they spell the word anyway.

All in all, it a good show but if you cannot stand long dialogue or lot's of blood, then it's not for you but the acting in this show is great, do look out for the German Colonel, he's 1 sly character.

_______________

Something i stumbled across the internet.

What The Hell?
(click the link, it ain't no virus)
Well seems like the japanese would do anything to have fun with girls. Well it proves a point that they don't really see girls there as people but rather as objects of fun but seriously? Marketing stuff like that out to people.

Well a new form of affordable entertainment huh?

Well who am i to judge, the Japanese have gave us lots of cool inventions or products like the PS3, Nintendo, Av girls, correction tape, Av girls, and lots more.

So well i guess we should close 1 eye on the situation.

Just something to share.

Well that's what i got today :)

Long Bar

Light headed

That's how i feel today,

no, i'm not taking cough syrup or smoking weed, well my dad brought me to a place called 'Long Bar".

Despite the name, it's not because it has a long bar table, it's just a name, like why pencils are called pencils?.. haha

It's located at Old Raffles Hotel, opposite Raffles City.

Mann, the atmosphere there is superb, really chilled out and pretty much what father and son should do, drinking beer and having nuts.
Pretty much brings you back in time in that place,

Check this out, automatic hand-held fans.

Where this is 1 of the few bars where you are allowed to litter, with peanut shells only though, yea so you just pop the nuts out of the shell and dump the shells on the floor.

Yea imagine the mess but well it's pretty cool at the same time.

And this is the menu for the finger food, and well it's freakin over priced i must say. 18 bucks for a hotdog, that's just crazy.

Well my dad orders a half yard Heineken and that equals to 1 big bottle. Mann.. speaking bout getting high in the middle of the day.

Yea that's me doing the Tv host look with my 'Yard'

Here's me just enjoying my 'Yard' and it was awesomeee, not some daft watered down fucked up beer you get in most places now.

There were alot of drawings on this particular wall and 1 drawing caught my eye >>>>

Heard that it's somewhat true even today haha

All these drawings dates back bout 30-40 years ago.

The Vodka Lime there too is well made too.

All in all,
good things don't come cheap, so be prepared to burn a tiny hole in your pocket but i tell you it's worth every single cent.

______________

After some father-son bonding session, went down to meet my dear May May, and caught Bruno at The Cathay.

Man i laughed my ass off and well may have scared May May a little, woo even though it's a little short but it's still freaking funny.

Some might not like the crude humor but well it's all in good fun.

Glad May May enjoyed it too.
_______

Hm a little picture heavy today but well a picture paints a thousand words, so well yea i've painted bout 7 thousand words or so, haha okok silly joke..

That's all i got today :)

Sunday

Hello people,

well a pretty chilly Sunday, didn't see much of the sun today. Well good for my vampire status now :)

Went to catch The Proposal at GV Marina.

Not too bad i must say, it's not just another love movie but well the dialogues were smart and well they were able to re-define a cheesy storyline interesting again. The acting's good and well Sandra Bullock and Ryan Reynolds they have a good chemistry together.

I had to adjust seeing the guy who played Deadpool in Wolverine in a love movie :)

Glad May May enjoyed it too.

After that we headed to Wheellock Place to meet my folks for dinner at Sakae Sushi and woo we ate a lot and drank a couple of my all time favorite Asahi beer.

Then went shopping again at Ion and got myself a new shirt. Haha man i 'm slowly turning into the shopaholic May May again, Bay Bay.

She bought some nice heels too for herself.

So well we each bought something nice for ourselves today.

That's all i got today :)

Friday Friday

Sup all,

wow the week is finally over, time did indeed past slowly over the past few days.

Watched Dragonball the movie yesterday. My verdict, it sucked balls. It really really sucked. The special effects and all were good but the story is really bad. They must have gotten a 5 year old kid or a monkey who can write, to do the script.

It started off well but it just came crashing in the middle of the movie. Characters were just put there to please the fans and some do not really serve any purpose thus destroying the image as portray in the manga or anime.

They really rushed the ending, he could have made a better wish but if he did, then there won't be a Dragonball 2. I really hope there won't be a sequel for this. If they do, please get a better director and script writer.

Luckily i did not waste my money watching it in the cinema.

Ok Lucky hour,

Well i must say ,it isn't easy working out at home when you have a dog roaming around the house. She would bite away my itouch, which i used to keep track of intervals and i would have to chase her around the house for it. She would jump onto my head when I'm doing push ups or try to lick my face when I'm doing sit ups.

Yea i could have locked her up, which i did later on, haha but where would the fun be.

That's all i got today. :)

Saturday

Hi all,

what a cool day it has been, weather's good. Finally a break from the dry and hot days.

Went to watch "Where Got Ghost" with a couple of my army friends at the AMK Hub. Glad we are still communicating and updated each other on our lives and other former army mates.

The show's not bad i must say. Take it from me, i hate horror shows but well they said this show isn't all horror but more of a comedy, i obliged.

There 3 parts of the story but i like the 2nd 1 the most. Ghost in the Jungle.

It's a tale bout 2 reservist soldiers going through some refresher course on navigation in the Jungle.

OK to prevent any major spoiler, i will only take bout 1 of my favorite part of that chapter. There's a scene where they wanted to take a short cut and 1 of them planned to flag a taxi down as they were near an expressway.

Well when i was in the service , me and my friends though of that too, we would put some cash in our zip lock bags and bring along when we had field camps or any trainings just in case we wanted to do as stated above or to buy food.

Food? Yea there could be one of those mobile "ninja van" as we call it roaming around to rip us army boys off.

What's that? It a van loaded with food that sells at a inflated price to save us from crappy army food.

All in all the movie's not bad. Had a lot of laugh out loud moments.

OK Lucky hour,

As usual, it's her shower day.

Here's my mom drying her.

Got a feeling she enjoys bathing now but still hates the hair dryer.

That's all i got today.

GI Joe + Wild Wild Lucky

Sup all,

went to watch GI Joe with David, Syuk today

My 2cents on it? It sucked. It started off well but as the movie went on, it was crap. It has everything people like, hot gals, big explosions, sword fights and chase scenes.

The story was simple but they tried to cram too many things into the movie, and well imagine squeezing too much food into a small container, it will explode.

The graphics for futuristic vehicles suck, even Transformers looks more realistic.

The story is ok but you should expect much.

Well i expected more but well gotta wait for GI Joe 2 and hopes it's better.

Check us out, David and I here posing with top we bought from Topman, money well spent I must say.

Anyway Lucky Hour now,

Every morning I would have a hard time exiting the house. Why?

Here's the thing with Lucky, before i put on my jeans, she will be my friend but when i put my jeans on, she will lock her jaw on it and will not let it go.

I would have to walk like an astronaut on the moon walking about. I have to move 1 leg and drag the side she's biting on, hindering my movement.

Here's Lucky picture of the day..

Hugging Tom the Gingerbread man.

haha

That's all I got today.

The Hangover

Sup world,

it's already Thursday man, time do really flies,

Went to watch the movie The Hangover with my buddies, Dave and Syukri at The Cathay.

Well it wasn't THAT funny but it does have it's funny and laugh out loud moments. Some of the character really reminds me of people i know and well kinda ironic i must say.

After the movie both Dave and Syukri had to use the handicapped toilet as the guys one was being washed.
Dave was supposed to stand outside the door to keep watch as it cannot be locked. I did not know that so i asked Dave to come over to chat.

Just then, this gay dude(it was obvious he's gay so don't ask) walked by us and opened the handicapped toilet door.

Syruki went bonkers shouting like crazy calling for Dave.

As the gay dude walked away, i asked him "did you enjoyed what you saw?"

He just smiled at me. I guess he did.

hahaha

Ok Lucky Hour now,

Here's some updates on Lucky's achievements/destroyed , 2 pairs of slippers, a couple of towels, 2 moths, ate paper, 1 pair of socks, mom's toe-nails.

Haha yea those were some random updates, i guess pretty soon would be human meat. :p

That's all i got today..

Public Enemies + Firefox

Hello all,

Sunny Sunday as usual, went to watch Public Enemies today,

Quite a good show if you like Michael Mann kind of movies. It gets you very involved with the character thatt's why the movie is long, almost 2 and a half hours.Set in the 1930s , a period where The Mafia were almighty, the movie follows the life of John Dillinger(Johnny Depp), a famous bank robber, and Agent Melvin Purvis (Christian Bale) the cop trying to hunt him down.

Ok that's the movie in a nutshell but it's really a great movie in my opinion.
Well too bad i couldn't bring May May to watch this film together maybe she can watch the chinese version of it haha. Which would sound weird. American Mafia speaking chinese. Then they would have to rename the show, Chinatown Enemies.

ok..i was kidding there so no hate, One Love.

So i have been using Firefox for a while now, for those that don't know, it's like the Internet Explorer(IE), but just better than that.

It has more customizable features and the pages load faster than IE. Much more user friendly i must say.
No wonder May May is using it and she did not share it with me..how mean of her. Haha :p

Lucky hour,
You'll know what, she did not recognized me when i got home just now as i was wearing my sunglasses. Haha she ran away from me..

Well strange dog huh..

"E.T Phone Homeee"

haha ok that's all i got today.

Transformers 2

Yo peeps,

I finally caught the Transformer 2: Revenge of the Fallen,

and it is an awesome movie. The effects and fights scenes were equally as cool and the story's not too bad. The movie does feature more Autobots and Decepticons this time round which is a plus and lot's of explosion, i like, and of course every guy's favorite, Magan Fox, Me super like.Ha ba ha ba.

We were almost unabe to catch the movie today as the tickets at every cinema were almost sold out but me bro was able to get tickets at GV Yishun, the grand daddy of all GV cinema.

Not b'cos it's the biggest but it was the first Golden Village cinema to open here in Singapore and wo ..a little run down but sad to say, the spacing between seats is better than the Tampines GV. Which i think was designed by idiots or just made for very very small people. You barely get any leg room at Gv Tampines and you won't be able to feel your legs at the end of the movie. I remembered May May complaining she can't feel her ass after the movie. Ha ha. But neither could i

At least Yishun's GV is not bad.

All in all the movied rocked and the review that was on the Life paper on Wednesday i think which only gave it 1/2 a star can kiss the person's job good-bye. I guess the idiot either have had a bad day or was too short to watch the screen as all the person could see could be the person's head infront. haha

But seriousily, to only give it 1/2 a star is like telling us that the reviewer was either watching the wrong movie or was busy counting the number of popcorn that was dropped on the floor. Man i will never trust another review done by Life Newspaper, which is guess is reviewed by monkeys with a cigar in it's mouth. Gotta find a picture of that

haha ..monekys with cigars..haha.

Booya, ok i can't find a monkey puffing a cigar but this will do and here it is, the movie reviewer for life who did the piece for Transformers 2. hahaha now eat that you f**k.
OKOK enough of my rants.

After the movie May May and I went for dinner with my family and you guess it, she got her favorite dish, crabbbbb. I guess my folks do know she loves crab. I'm glad she enjoyed dinner today :)

Lucky got a new toy today,

a stuffed Gingerbread man, and she has been playing with it ever since. She really doesn't show any mercy to her toys, tossing it around with her strong jaw.

Here's Lucky after almost tearing the Gingerbread man. :) One satisfied but exhasuted pooch.

All in all it was a packed day today, went for my friend's belated Bday lunch at Dian Xiao Er, which was great, and the movie and all that.
A fruitful weekend indeed.
Well that's all i gotta blog today. :)

Ben-cast Saturday

Sup world :)

Had a great day today.

Went to East Coast Park with May May today to cycle. Ha ha, we have not cycled for years and well i must say we picked it back up quickly. We rode the couple's bike which was pretty fun while at times it seems like i'm e only one paddling while she's "flying" behind. :)

There were all sors of jerks there. People who stop their bike half way, people who don't look after their kids on the bicycle track, people who just can't ride well and hog the entire road.
Man i went through a couple of "Road Rage" . Those people really love testing my patience an di would mind punching some holes into their empty brain.

My 2 cents on the jerks at East Coast Park.

We rented it for 3 hours and we used that time to explore East Coast Park and busy cam whoring and looking for an ice cream stall(even though it was a little pricy but it tasted good)

Well it wasn't easy.. my ass really hurts from all the cycling.

Later in the evening, we went to catch the movie I Love You Man, at the Tampines Mall. Man Tampines Mall is a hard place to walk. It was freaking crowded with poeple who don't know how to give way and only knows how to block the way. Well what do you expect at a heartland mall. All sorts of Tom, Dick and Harry goes there. (not that i am saying heartland malls are bad places to go to). It's a cool place minus the f*** up people.
It's a Saturday after all.

While buying the ticket, we realised that we have watch every movie that they were showing and man have i not ever seen so many movies in 1 week.

Man the movie is awesome. It's freaking funny and so true at the same time. I'm glad that May May enjoyed it as much as i did. Really made me feel better from the exprience of meeting so many jerks today.

All in all i really had fun today with May May.

Well i will load some pictures from our ECP adventure later.

Ben-cast Thursday

Wo check it out man !! My new Bloggy picture.

Credit goes to my lovely May May for doing it for me :)A couple of cool pictures of me and some with May May IncrediBen. Another new nickname of mine.

A short for Incredible Ben = IncrediBen.(just in case you don't get it)

Thanks babe! love ya :)

Went to watch another movie with May May today, a total of 4 if you include Sunday. Ha ha a record so far. This time we caught Ghost of Girlfriend Past. Well nothing really that fantastic bout this show. Acting's not bad but it's just another love movie. Perfect date movie I must say. Nothing really special. Kinda forgetable movie.

Ha ha my 2 cent of the movie.

Well had a spicy dinner wif May May, met a couple of friends on the way and well yea Friday's just around the corner. Woo hoo. Finally a little break from the norm.

Tuesday, June 16, 2009

Ben-Cast Tuesday

Sup peeps.
A pretty fine Tuesday it has been.

Went to watch Phelam 123 with May May. It was only an OK-OK show. Nothing fantastic.
The plot is a little too thin and predictable. Such a pity, had good actors in it but just nothing special bout the plot or the action.

It seems like we are on a daily movie maraton. Kinda taking a toll on our "Movie Watching" stamina and we still have a couple of movies that we want to watch.

Well happy happy, tomorrow's May May and I 's 10th month anniversary. Yea haha
Time do reall flies and i'm enjoying every single second of it.

Love ya May :)
